Beef Roulade Cooking Class with Chef John Bates

On July 19, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, we had the pleasure of hosting a delightful Beef Roulade Cooking Class led by the talented Chef John Bates. It was an evening filled with culinary learning, delicious food, and great company.

Class Highlights:

  • Recipe Discussion: The class began with an engaging discussion about the Beef Roulade recipe. Chef Bates explained the ingredients needed and offered various options for customizing the dish to suit different tastes.
  • Tasting Session: Everyone in attendance got to sample the exquisite Beef Roulade prepared by Chef Bates. The dish featured a thin slice of beef, layered with blue cheese dressing, ham, cheese, and breadcrumbs, all rolled up and baked at 350°C for 45 minutes. An asparagus spear was added on top, completing this delicious meal.
  • Assistance and Service: Chef Bates was assisted by Renea Welker, who helped serve the food, ensuring everyone enjoyed their sample.
  • Side Dish: Linda Atkins prepared a purple coleslaw that perfectly complemented the Beef Roulade. The coleslaw was a big hit among attendees, praised for its delightful flavor.

The Beef Roulade was a standout dish, impressing everyone with its savory taste and elegant presentation. Spending the evening learning, cooking, and enjoying a meal together made for a truly special Friday night.

It was a wonderful opportunity to visit with one another over a delicious meal, making new friends and sharing our love for good food. We look forward to hosting more such events and continuing to bring our community together through the joy of cooking.
